As an International Collegiate, Queen Ethelburga’s encourages pupils of all denominations to explore and develop their faith in an atmosphere of tolerance and understanding.

Our own Chaplain holds a regular Christian service. Our Roman Catholic pupils attend Mass locally. A separate, peaceful prayer room can be provided for our Muslim pupils.

We have celebrated larger services in Ripon Cathedral and York Minster. The Dean of York was a founding Governor of the Collegiate at the time it became established on its new site on the Thorpe Underwood Estate.

Each year a group of QE students can choose to be Confirmed.
